American Society of Interior Designers, Inc. (ASID)

ASID is the biggest professional organization for interior designers with 20,000 practicing members and 48 chapters in the U.S. and Canada. You don't have to wait until you're working in the field to join. ASID has chapters for both professionals and students in interior design programs.

Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER)

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation is the primary accrediting body for interior design programs and schools.

Interior Designers of Canada (IDC)
