Evolution of a Fashion Enthusiast

Addicted to Fashion?

Your obsession with fashion and design may have started with a subscription to Elle or Vogue. From there, it blossomed into weekly viewings of shows, such as TLC's What Not to Wear. You've proudly taken advice from TV's fashion gurus without even leaving home.

Now, it's a full-blown addiction. You find yourself getting a little too emotionally involved in Project Runway, shutting yourself in on a weekend to watch the many-hour marathon—again. Some people quote Shakespeare; you quote passages from The Devil Wears Prada. New York Fashion Week is your new Mecca.

Never again will you be caught butchering the pronunciation of names like Givenchy or Gaultier. You're in the know, savvy, a next generation fashion expert. You're a fashionista, but you prefer the term "fashion enthusiast." It sounds less snobbish.

You could start a 12-step group to battle your weakness for pointy-toed shoes and accessorizing, or you could embrace your new calling. Take your love of fashion and design to the next level. Whether you're a fashion designer or a business whiz, the fashion industry has a place for you. Writers, photographers, stylists, merchandisers and designers (among others) make the fashion world go 'round.
