Associate's in Graphic Design and Multimedia

Designers work on everything from illustrations and advertising
layouts to animation and multimedia production. The Graphic
Design and Multimedia program prepares graduates for positions as
graphic designers, production artists, web page designers and
multimedia designers within a diverse industry.
This program teaches the fundamentals of graphic design and gives
you hands-on experience with industry relevant technology to
prepare you for this fun and creative career. Students learn to
create effective designs that communicate visually in both print
and multimedia environments. The combination of technical and
general education courses in the program helps students develop
skills in critical thinking, logic, communication and problem
solving.

In Westwood's Animation program you learn to combine visual
effects with live action to breathe life into 2D and 3D objects
by modeling bone, skin and features, and then adding animated
lifelike motions. Because animation is a blend of art and
technology, those working in the field will not only require
creativity and good visualization skills, but also specialized
training in industry-relevant design software and digital media
equipment to be competitive and successful.
Westwood's Animation program covers topics such as the laws of
human motion, physics, psychology as applied to 2D and 3D
characters, life drawing and rendering techniques, and the
application of audio and video to an animation project.

Interior Design requires creativity and good visualization
skills, but also specialized training in design, materials and
market specific building codes to be competitive and
successful.With these necessary skills in mind, Westwood has
created an Interior Design program to focus on the technical,
creative and human facets of interior design. With a Westwood

Visual Communications is an exciting, creative field that offers
the opportunity to work on everything from illustration and

The Visual Communications program is designed to prepare students
with the design, marketing and technical skills necessary to
pursue positions working for advertising agencies, in-house
design departments, design companies, web-design firms and
Internet companies. The combination of management and general
education courses in the program help students apply skills in
general management, critical thinking, logic, communication and
problem solving to workplace challenges.
