Associate's in Graphic Design and Multimedia*
Back to top
Our online Graphic Design and Multimedia program prepares
students for entry-level jobs in the graphic design and
multimedia industry. As in most graphic art programs, students
learn to create effective designs that communicate visually in
both print and multimedia environments.
Our Graphic Design and Multimedia program is special because not
all graphic design schools and graphic design colleges offer an
Associate's degree with a combination of technical courses and
general education courses. By offering a well-rounded education,
students develop skills needed to function in today's
technological business world. Also, Westwood College's online
program teaches industry-relevant technology, so students are
prepared to meet career challenges.
Bachelor's in Animation*
In Westwood's Animation program you learn to combine visual
effects with live action to breathe life into 2D and 3D objects
by modeling bone, skin and features, and then adding animated
lifelike motions. Because animation is a blend of art and
technology, those working in the field will not only require
creativity and good visualization skills, but also specialized
training in industry-relevant design software and digital media
equipment to be competitive and successful.
Westwood's Animation program covers topics such as the laws of
human motion, physics, psychology as applied to 2D and 3D
characters, life drawing and rendering techniques, and the
application of audio and video to an animation project.
Bachelor's in Game Art*
A passion for video games could be your advantage in an industry
whose stock in trade is fun and fantasy. Strong creativity,
design, computer, and problem solving skills are the keys for
success in this exciting and growing field. With these
specialized skills in mind, Westwood College has designed a
program in Game Art in which you'll acquire real-world applied
knowledge through our hands-on teaching approach.
Bachelor's in Interior Design**
Imagine having the ability to create spaces where people feel
comfortable - in the office, while shopping or at home. With a
degree in interior design, that person could be you. Along with
your bachelor's degree, you'll receive a well-rounded foundation
based on the technical, creative and human factors of interior
design. Building on the principles of drawing, drafting, color
and basic design, you'll also learn about human factors, space
planning, interior construction and detailing, safety and
building codes and computer-aided design (CAD). You'll receive a
historical perspective of interior design, an understanding of
interior design business practices, collaboration techniques for
working with related professionals and, finally, an awareness of
professional responsibilities and ethics for personal practice.
When you graduate, you'll have the skills necessary to obtain
entry-level positions in the industry, such as an interior
designer,* drafter, designer or showroom manager. It's what's
inside that matters - and we'll help you discover and refine the
talents that reside within you.
Bachelor's in Visual Communications*
This hands-on program is designed to offer you the design and
technical skills you need to land the perfect job in visual
communications. You'll take a combination of design theory, web
design, imaging, print design and multimedia courses. Plus, your
general education courses will help you apply skills in critical
thinking, logic, communications and problem solving, so you'll be
ready to handle workplace challenges. When you graduate, you'll
be ready to tackle an entry-level role in the field of visual
communications such as a communications manager, design artist
and illustrator, graphic design manager, production art manager
or a web editor.
Bachelor's in Web Design and Multimedia*
Web design requires creativity and conceptual and visual skills,
but also specialized training in high-tech software and
computers, e-commerce, scripting and authoring to be competitive
and successful. Westwood has designed a Web Design and Multimedia
program to focus on the technical, creative and relevant business
knowledge required to stay on top in this profession.
