Associate of Applied Science in Graphic DesignThe objective of the Graphic Design program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills and work habits required for entry-level positions as graphic designers and illustrators, layout artists, production artists and multi-media artists. Students will be encouraged to develop creativity while stressing technical and presentation skills. Graduates of this program may design advertising campaigns, logos, packaging posters, publications, etc. from the concept to the final printing process for magazines, newspapers, journals and other publications. Graduates may also create graphics for television and computer- generated media. The length of the Graphic Design program is eight quarters culminating in 105 quarter credit hours.
