Advertising & Design - Bachelor of Fine Arts

The advertising and design degree program at the International Academy of Design & Technology - Tampa is designed to prepare students for careers in the advertising and design field. Through comprehensive course work and instruction by industry professionals, students can learn the skills necessary to succeed in various areas of advertising and design.

The program provides an education for creative people focusing on the use of electronic technology while incorporating the theories of advertising, design, business and media. Computer Animation - Bachelor of Fine Arts

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Computer Animation is designed to provide students with the advanced conceptual and technical skills needed to enter the field of computer animation, game art and game design.

Students at the Academy are exposed to a comprehensive course of study, utilizing industry-standard hardware and software such as:

• Motion Builder
• Z-Brush
• Motion capture
• Renderman
• AVID

This career-focused computer animation degree program explores professional principles and practices in the computer animation and game industry. Students will be instructed in the principles of drawing, character development in both 2D and 3D.

Students will have an opportunity to develop characters, animations, amazing worlds and special effects like those used in feature films, television and games.

Digital Photography - Associate of Science

The Associate of Science degree program in Digital Photography teaches students traditional photographic skills as well as emerging technical skills in the ever-changing digital world of professional photographers. Students enrolling in the digital photography degree program will study course content covering career-relevant skills training in:

• Wedding photography

They will also complete hands-on projects using industry-standard cameras, lighting, grip, software and techniques. Résumé- and portfolio-building opportunities are also emphasized throughout the degree program.

Digital Production - Associate of Science

From the moment you enter the Associate of Science degree program in Digital Production, you'll be immersed in hands-on video production training. You can learn the fundamentals of lighting and cinematography techniques and then develop your ideas into a working script by studying effective storytelling and editing techniques used in filmmaking.

Each class depends upon concepts taught in previous courses, building to a keystone class that demonstrates skills acquired throughout the program by scripting, casting, shooting, editing and marketing a short film. You will also be able to learn about the following aspects of film and video production:

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Recording Arts introduces students to current trends in traditional analog and digital technology as they apply to studio recording, sound reinforcement and electronic music. Students can apply their knowledge and have an opportunity to master the skills of recording, composition and performance to help prepare them for careers in the audio recording industry.

The recording arts degree program begins by teaching music theory, an essential element in establishing a career in the audio industry. Students also practice advanced recording and mixing and mastering techniques, as well as the principles of sound design for CD production, film and video, and DVD (Digital Versatile Disks) production. Each class builds upon concepts taught in the previous term, leading up to a final studio project encompassing all material studied in the program.

Not only are students given the opportunity to gain the knowledge to create professionally mastered music tracks, but also DVD and 5.1 surround sound pieces. This unique degree program places a strong emphasis on digital audio production and technique, an area somewhat overlooked by traditional audio programs that focus on analog production.
