Herzing College
Herzing College was one of the first post-secondary institutions founded to train students for the computer industry. The first Herzing College was founded as a computer programming school in 1965 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by Henry and Suzanne Herzing. Since then, Herzing College has grown from a modest classroom to a progressive leader in career education. The Herzing College system now includes campuses in seven U.S. states, located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Ohio. In addition, there are five Canadian campuses in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. For distance learners, Herzing Online offers many of the programs that are available at resident campuses.
While expanding its campuses, Herzing also diversified its educational programs to include the fields of business management, electronics, health care, design and public safety. It also raised the level of credentials from not only diplomas, but also bachelors of science degrees and associate of science degrees at all its U.S. campuses. In addition, Herzing Online has been approved to offer an MBA with three different concentrations.

Associate of Applied Sciences - Drafting and Design Technology
Drafters prepare technical drawings and plans used by production and construction workers to build everything from manufactured products, such as toys, toasters, industrial machinery or spacecraft; to structures, such as houses, office buildings, or oil and gas pipelines. Their drawings provide visual guidelines, showing the technical details of the products and structures and specifying dimensions, materials to be used, and procedures and processes to be followed. Drafters fill in technical details, using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, codes and calculations previously made by engineers, surveyors, architects or scientists. Traditionally, drafters sat at drawing boards and used pencils, pens, compasses, protractors, triangles and other drafting devices to prepare a drawing manually. Most drafters now use computer-aided drafting (CAD) systems to prepare drawings.
