The Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Arts consists of courses that prepare the student for a broad range of positions requiring a background in computer multimedia design theory, production and project management. Students receive hands-on training in leading multimedia software applications, while they learn and apply multimedia development theory and practice for online delivery as well as CD-ROM and DVD production. Graduates of the program are in high demand because they possess a combination of skills and knowledge vital to today's workplace. Since modern enterprises are continuously expanding their media activities across a variety of digital platforms, graduates with a broad range of skills and knowledge of multimedia development practices will be in high demand. Guided development of each writer's talents culminates in a final project, a publishable-quality thesis in one area of specialty. This program is excellent preparation for a professional career in writing, working in the areas of publishing or filmmaking, and is the minimal academic qualification appropriate for those who desire to teach writing at the college or university level.
