The Art Institute of Vancouver

Welcome to The Art Institute of Vancouver, one of over 40 locations within the established Art Institutes system, located in major cities throughout North America. The Art Institutes offers bachelor's and associate's degrees, diplomas and certificate programs that specialize in the creative arts. Students receive a practical, focused education that prepares them to begin their careers with on-the-job skills employers need.

Faculty

Many of our faculty are experienced professionals with impressive achievements in their fields of expertise. They continue to be involved in contemporary creative trends and techniques and share that knowledge with their students. Our faculty know first-hand what employers need and they provide practical, hands-on education that meets those needs.

Career Services

Getting an education is a major goal, but it's one which usually leads to the real goal - landing that all-important first job that launches your career. To help make that leap, our students turn to the personalized, comprehensive services offered by the school's Career Services Department.

Ideal Locations

Sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and rugged mountains: Few destinations on the planet are as beautiful and dynamic as Vancouver. With a population of more than two million, Vancouver is a vibrant cosmopolitan center. Downtown, there are a variety of world-class restaurants, hotels, and attractions. Residents also enjoy more than 60 art venues including theaters, movie houses, and art galleries. A unique blend of West Coast casual living and Canadian sensibility makes for a comfortable sense of community.

The Art Institute of Vancouver has its main location at 3264 Beta Avenue in Burnaby and two centers of learning in Vancouver at 700-1090 West Georgia Street (Downtown) and 300-609 Granville Street (Dubrulle Culinary Arts). Each location is PCTIA registered and accredited.

Design

Good designers are an interesting breed; they live and breathe in the aesthetic and functional realm. Their discerning eyes notice type treatments on commercials and movie credits. A great-looking chair makes them green with envy.
