At Globe University, you will develop skills you need to succeed
in the business of media and the arts. We offer diploma,
associate and bachelor's degree programs that provide hands-on
training—a dynamic learning environment where you will get
the experience you need to succeed in the real world.
The AAS in Interactive Media and Graphic Design is a two-year
program. Core credits focus directly on skills training for
advertising design and production, graphic design, print and Web
page production, and project planning. Those core requirements
are identical to requirements for the college's Interactive Media
and Graphic Design Diploma. In expanding your studies to earn an
associate degree, you will also complete general education
classes, studies in communications, social sciences, natural
science, math and humanities. These studies will enhance the
technical and artistic training provided in the core program, and
reinforce your analytical and inferential reasoning and
computational skills.
There are exciting career options in print and multi-media for
trained graphic designers. Some of our graduates enjoy the
freedom of freelance careers, others multi-task as single-person
marketing departments in small companies, and others work for
national corporations. The A.A.S. in Interactive Media and
Graphic Design will prepare you to enter the industry in a
variety of positions, including the following:

Media is a broad term that refers to various means of
communication. The Internet, digital videos, music, television,
radio, newspapers, billboards and direct mail are all forms of
multimedia. A business professional with strong technical skills
and an understanding of the roles of various media in an industry
can look forward to rewarding, high-paying career options.
Media-related business activities include Internet marketing and
advertising, media planning and coordination, public opinion
research and sales.
The Bachelor's in Media Business is called a "2+2" program,
available to the student who holds an associate (2-year) degree
in an area of creative production. Qualifying technical training
includes 60 credits in any of a wide range of areas, including
graphic design, music production, video production, audio
engineering, digital photography and Web site design.
Every corporation, small business, government agency, educational
institution or other type of organization relies on media to
spread its message. To do so effectively, it needs media
production specialists whose technical skills are enhanced by
fundamental business training, strong general communication
skills and a broad base of general knowledge. Our Bachelor's in
Media Business degree program provides that complex skill set. As
a graduate, you will be well-prepared for in-house positions in
corporations or to succeed as an independent contractor.
Production activities include video conferencing, video editing,
audio/video coordination and installation, audio engineering,
graphic design, digital imaging and general media services.
