media production industry doing the type of work that he/she
now teaches at Full Sail. Collectively, instructors have earned
hundreds of movie, record, game, television and web credits, as
well as GRAMMY® and EMMY Awards and nominations.

Master of Science in Game Design
The production of today's increasingly complex video games
requires leaders who can inspire productivity and creativity
among the multiple teams working to bring those games to life.
Full Sail's Game Design Master of Science Degree program will
teach you how to become one of those creative decision-makers. By
guiding a team of artists and programmers through the exact same
production process used by today's top game design studios,
students in this game design degree are taught the comprehensive
design, leadership, and management needs in this industry.
The Game Design program covers the entire scope of a development
cycle as it relates to the responsibilities of a studio manager.
After taking core classes in Asset Management, Production
Methodologies, and Quality Assurance you'll collaborate with
artists and programmers and work with that team throughout
production to delegate tasks, problem-solve, and hit milestones.
You'll also learn project-management, scheduling, and
bug-tracking software that will keep your game on schedule while
maintaining the quality of the product. Courses in Game Design
and Design Mechanics stress the importance of developing a
unified approach to gameplay mechanics in the initial design
stage, and maintaining that standard with effective management
skills and rigorous quality control throughout production.
The Game Design Master's Degree culminates with the Game Capstone
Project. You'll be stepping in to the role of an External
Producer in a real world studio scenario that will draw on every
element of your production management education as you coordinate
a group of artists and programmers as they design and code the
graphics, gameplay, and audio for a fully playable game.
