In January 1999, Silicon Valley College opened the San Jose
campus to improve educational opportunities in the Bay Area. Our
campus is located at 6201 San Ignacio Avenue, just off of
highways 101 and 85, using the Bernal Road off-ramps.
Our 30,000 square foot campus contains classrooms, labs, and
administrative space. Handicapped access is available on campus.

publications field has created a demand for better training of
today's graphic students. These programs are designed to provide
students with essential skills and training for an entry-level
position in graphic design, publications and the developing area
of multimedia, 3D animation and web design. Upon completion, the
student will have gained a working and hands-on knowledge of
graphic design, desktop publishing, web design, and multimedia
authoring. In addition students will:

This intensive course is designed to provide students with the
basic skills and training to upgrade their knowledge of the
traditional processes into a computer environment. Upon
completion of this course, students will be proficient and
knowledgeable in various types of computer-aided design and
production, including the publishing of catalogs, brochures,
advertisements, newsletters, and other business publications.
Upon completion, graduates will have the theory and hands-on
experience necessary for an entry-level or trainee position as a
Computer Graphics Designer.

Architectural Design Drafting - Associate of Science Degree &

Drafting is a graphic language used by the industry to
communicate ideas and plans from the creative design stage
through production. Students enrolled in this program will
receive training in the fundamental principles of technical
drawing, standard procedure for producing designed working
drawings of a structure and mechanical devices indicating
dimensions, fasteners and joining requirements, and other
engineering data as well as proper drafting standards of
construction drawings, floor plans, elevations and diagrammatic
drawings as required for manufacture and repair of structures.

Highly skilled, professional architectural design drafters with
CADD are in demand. Completion of this course provides graduates
with skills and knowledge for the following entry level, trainee
