Associate's in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) & Architectural Drafting

Students who would like to combine their interests in architecture, engineering, or drafting with a rewarding high-tech career should explore options in Computer-Aided Design.

The CAD and Architectural Drafting program equips students with the skills necessary to become a candidate for many careers available to the skilled CAD operator. Architectural Drafting students receive training on recent releases of AutoCAD, a popular CAD application that provides experience in developing technical drawings related to the field of architecture.

Associate's in Graphic Design and Multimedia

Designers work on everything from illustrations and advertising layouts to animation and multimedia production. The Graphic Design and Multimedia program prepares graduates for positions as graphic designers, production artists, web page designers and multimedia designers within a diverse industry.

This program teaches the fundamentals of graphic design and gives you hands-on experience with industry relevant technology to prepare you for this fun and creative career. Students learn to create effective designs that communicate visually in both print and multimedia environments. The combination of technical and general education courses in the program helps students develop skills in critical thinking, logic, communication and problem solving.

Bachelor's in Animation

In Westwood's Animation program you learn to combine visual effects with live action to breathe life into 2D and 3D objects by modeling bone, skin and features, and then adding animated lifelike motions.

Because animation is a blend of art and technology, those working in the field will not only require creativity and good visualization skills, but also specialized training in industry-relevant design software and digital media equipment to be competitive and successful.

Westwood's Animation program covers topics such as the laws of human motion, physics, psychology as applied to 2D and 3D characters, life drawing and rendering techniques, and the application of audio and video to an animation project.

Bachelor's in Game Art and Design

A passion for video games could be your advantage in an industry whose stock in trade is fun and fantasy. Strong creativity, design, computer, and problem solving skills are the keys for success in this exciting and growing field. With these specialized skills in mind, Westwood College has designed a program in Game Art & Design in which you'll acquire real-world applied knowledge through our hands-on teaching approach.

Bachelor's in Interior Design

Interior Design requires creativity and good visualization skills, but also specialized training in design, materials and market specific building codes to be competitive and successful.With these necessary skills in mind, Westwood has created an Interior Design program to focus on the technical, creative and human facets of interior design. Bachelor's in Visual Communications

Visual Communications is an exciting, creative field that offers the opportunity to work on everything from illustration and advertising, to animation and multimedia production.

The Visual Communications program is designed to prepare students with the design, marketing and technical skills necessary to pursue positions working for advertising agencies, in-house design departments, design companies, web-design firms and Internet companies. The combination of management and general education courses in the program help students apply skills in general management, critical thinking, logic, communication and problem solving to workplace challenges.

Bachelor's in Web Design and Multimedia*

Web design requires creativity and conceptual and visual skills, but also specialized training in high-tech software and computers, e-commerce, scripting and authoring to be competitive and successful. Westwood has designed a Web Design and Multimedia program to focus on the technical, creative and relevant business knowledge required to stay on top in this profession.
